Reflection
I learned how to use different editing Software. I used cap cut for my project, and it got easier to use by the time I finished my commercial. In the beginning, I made many mistakes. These mistakes caused me to restart many times. By the 2nd day of working on the commercial, it went smoother since I started to understand better. Many editing software you can download on your phone have a similar setup. I tried using this other app but was unsuccessful, so I didn’t think it was worth mentioning. I also learned how to import music to add it to a video.
While putting my project together, I learned that patience is essential. I initially messed up, so I had to redo it many times. I also knew that getting upset or frustrated doesn’t do anything but waste time. I also learned that taking my time would increase the quality of my work. Trying to rush work to get it done makes the results look sloppy. If you feel forced to do something, the work is less enjoyable. I worked on it in my free time and enjoyed putting all these pictures together. Doing things at the last minute doesn’t do anything but add stress.
Something I can improve
in my next project is making different scenes have a smoother transition. I can start working earlier to ensure I have enough time to make changes without rushing. Before I start working, I can make a plan so I don’t make things up as I go. I can learn the different features of the editing app. Make the sound line up with the video. I can look at references to get ideas on how I can make my project better. Overall, work on making everything look cleaner and crisper.
