Production Blog: Music Video

The day we filmed, we had a lot of hiccups, as I mentioned in my previous blog. The first person to arrive was Leila, and Chatae said she was running late. At this time, we are still waiting to receive a response from my brother's friend. We ate some food, then finally got a call from Avione saying that he had overslept and was getting ready. We waited in my room for chatae and my brother to return from picking his friends up. When Chatae arrived, we talked, and since my brother was taking a while, we decided to start filming the scene that didn't include them. We began filming scene six, which was Chatae and Lelia talking. By the time we finished filming that scene, the boys had arrived. We did introductions so everyone could familiarize themselves with each other, and then we headed to the park to film the outdoor scenes. We filmed scenes one and two at the park and filmed something extra that Leila suggested, and it adds to the music video. Scene one is the main character t

Felisha and I wanted to film as soon as possible so we wouldn't have to worry about doing things at the last moment. We planned to film on Saturday, October 14, at 1:00 p.m. We planned to film at my house, so the night before, I made sure my room was clean and had enough space to film. I organized the top of my dresser and removed the photos from my mirror to ensure this. Although we decided to film early, we had a lot of delays that caused us a lot of stress. I woke up early Saturday morning. I brush my teeth and take a shower to prepare for my day. Felisha told me she had a basketball game that morning and asked if it would be okay to shower and change at my house. After her game, my brother and I went to pick her up. After this, we went to buy props for the music video. We first stopped by Target to look for the film for the Polaroid camera, but we couldn't find any. We then decided to see if Walmart had any. While going to Walmart, Felisha and I realized how tired we were a

Each time Felisha (partner) and I met in study hall, we discussed each scene with Chatae(main character). I received storyboards from my teacher, and we started to draw and explain each scene.  I made a mistake with the first storyboard because I tried to do it myself but we fixed it in study hall. We did redo some of the scenes and even discussed some other song choices. While doing the storyboard, we thought about the songs we discussed in our research blog and how to incorporate that style into ours. Felisha and I wanted to film as soon as possible to have enough time to edit and correct any mistakes. We had to go with one of our backup plans. We found out David had a homecoming the day we wanted to film. I asked my brother to ask his friends if they are willing to do it. Felisha and I contacted everyone who was supposed to be in the music video to ensure everything went according to our plan. We were worried that the main character wouldnt be able to make and our backup plan would

For this music video, I will partner up with my friend Felisha. I picked Felisha because I've known her for a long time, and even our parents know each other. Since they know each other, they won't have a problem taking us places to work on this music video. Felisha is a hard worker who can come up with great ideas. Felisha and I have great chemistry when it comes to projects like this. As I mentioned, Felisha had terrific views, and I can expand on those ideas. The following person I will be working with is Chatae.  Chatae doesn't take media studies, but she was willing to help and be the main character in our music video. The next person we plan to include in this video is my brother's friend or a mutual friend of Felisha and me. I prefer it to be someone we both know so they aren't uncomfortable or nervous. We also needed another female actor to play the main character's friend, so we picked another mutual friend. Lynn is going to play the friend of the main

Introduction

Hello, I'm back, and this time, I am making a music video. I enjoyed making my commercial, and I hope you enjoyed it. My name is Kaydiane Coleau, and in this blog, I will tell you a little about myself. I was born on February 7, 2007, in Florida, which makes me 16 years old. Currently, I'm a junior at Fort Lauderdale High School. I'm taking 3 AICE classes this year - Media Studies, English Language, and Thinking Skills - and I'm excited to complete these classes to receive my AICE Diploma.      One of my favorite things to do is cooking. I've loved cooking since I was a kid, and I always helped my mom in the kitchen. She mainly, which is also my favorite kind of music. Haitian food is something I want to learn to make, but it can be complicated. I also enjoy rap, R&B, and gospel music, but I like listening to any genre. Spending time with my friends and family is another thing that I love to do. It's a great way to relax, smile, and have fun, especially afte
