Production blog: Music video

Each time Felisha (partner) and I met in study hall, we discussed each scene with Chatae(main character). I received storyboards from my teacher, and we started to draw and explain each scene.  I made a mistake with the first storyboard because I tried to do it myself but we fixed it in study hall. We did redo some of the scenes and even discussed some other song choices. While doing the storyboard, we thought about the songs we discussed in our research blog and how to incorporate that style into ours. Felisha and I wanted to film as soon as possible to have enough time to edit and correct any mistakes. We had to go with one of our backup plans. We found out David had a homecoming the day we wanted to film. I asked my brother to ask his friends if they are willing to do it. Felisha and I contacted everyone who was supposed to be in the music video to ensure everything went according to our plan. We were worried that the main character wouldnt be able to make and our backup plan would be that lynn would take over. When I told Lynn the day we were filming, she told me she had a competition. Felisha and I contacted 2 friends we know and asked them to be our backup, and they both agreed. Chatae(the main character) was able to go, so we asked lelia to play the friend. We had to change who would be in the music video because of the changes.

This is the reason and the new cast:
Lynn couldn't play the friend because of a competition she had. 
David couldn't be the "crush" because he had plans the day we would film.
Lastly, Keiron, my brother's friend couldn't play the friend of the crush because he never answered the phone.
The new actors consisted of Leila, who played the main character's friend. Avione, his brother, and my brother who played the crush and the friends, and chatae remained the main character.
We told each of the actors the song we chose, showed them the storyboard, and explained each scene.

 After we finished filming the outdoor scenes, we filmed the indoor 0scenes. The majority of these scenes involved only the main character. The first indoor scene was scene four. Scene four was the main character opening the room door and putting the picture in the mirror. For this scene, we used a tracking shot to show her coming in and placing the image on the mirror. This concluded what was supposed to be the first 24 seconds of the song. After this, we filmed scene ten. Scene ten was the main character laying on the bed and then getting up to look out the window. for this scene, we needed it to be dark but not too dark to the point the camera quality changes, or she can't be seen. We used a ring light to add enough light so the scene wouldn't come out too dark, and we closed the blinds so it wouldn't be too bright. Production Blog- Editing

 Hello, today in this blog I will discuss how I finished the editing my music video. As I mentioned in my previous blog, the video from CapCut was very choppy and glitchy. I didn’t want to deal with it so I switched to a different editing platform. I looked on TikTok for good editing platforms for computer. I kept seeing Wondershare Filmora, so that’s what I downloaded. Once it finished downloading I did the same thing I did in CapCut. On the app I added all the clips I timed so I can access it easier. I dragged the song to the video and trimmed it to be 1:15. I drag the vidro clips to match the song. I used the video from CapCut as a reference to how to the video should look. Something I like about the sofeware is that I can preview the video clips on a bigger screen so I didn’t have to constantly drag and delete.This took me a little while to get used to. Production Blog: Filming Part 3

 After the gift opening scene the doorbell ring and the next scene is the friends looking at the camera. I had a perfume box that was decorated, so we put the note in there to put it outside.  Earlier before we stared filming i put the box outside and someone moved it.  I went outside to look for the box and I couldn’t find it. I asked everybody if they moved it and where did they put it. Since nobody couldn’t tell me where the box was I had to check the camera. I’m glad the camera recorded who did it. I had to scroll about an hour back to see Felisha moved it into the bushes so it wouldn’t be seen in the first scene. Once we had the box in place everyone gathered around the google Home Screen and said their lines. Nobody practiced their lines except for Christel so there was a little improvising to save time.
