Production Blog- Editing

Hello, today in this blog I will discuss how I finished the editing my music video. As I mentioned in my previous blog, the video from CapCut was very choppy and glitchy. I didn’t want to deal with it so I switched to a different editing platform. I looked on TikTok for good editing platforms for computer. I kept seeing Wondershare Filmora, so that’s what I downloaded. Once it finished downloading I did the same thing I did in CapCut. On the app I added all the clips I timed so I can access it easier. I dragged the song to the video and trimmed it to be 1:15. I drag the vidro clips to match the song. I used the video from CapCut as a reference to how to the video should look. Something I like about the sofeware is that I can preview the video clips on a bigger screen so I didn’t have to constantly drag and delete. This took me a little while to get used to. When I tried to trim the video I click the scissors which splits the video. Not only did it split the video but also the song and when I deleted the clipped it messed with the music. I didn’t know how to put the music back together so I deleted and added it again. When I deleted the music the video clips disappeared so I added a new music clip and turn the sound off. Once I finished adding the clips I previewed the video. The only problem I had was the flashback part. I wish I filmed a specific scene for the flashback because i wasn’t sure what to put for it. The video was choppy and a little glitchy so I added transition make it look smoother. I was about 75% finished and the video was sti glitchy so I searched it up. I found out I have to render it so that’s what I did and it made the video smooth. I called Felisha and we finished the flashback scene, added the final transitions, created and intro and end credits, then finally the thumbnail. In order to export the video without a watermark I had to pay for the WonderShare Filmora premium. I exported it and emailed it to Felisha.
