Research and Planning: Commercial

    
     For my commercial, I want it to show me throughout the years of my life. I want it to start with me as a baby and myself throughout the years. I have many pictures to choose from among my family members, including myself. My mom loved taking pictures when I was a kid, so I plan on asking her for photos. I'm also going to look through my family's picture albums to look for baby pictures. I plan to use three to five pictures of me as a baby/ toddler and include a video if I find one. I will have pictures of me with family and friends when I was younger, around 3-5, and a short video if I find one. I plan on contacting my family outside my immediate family for pictures or videos they may have of me. I'm doing this so I can have more options. I will need recent pictures and videos of me to include in this commercial. I also want to include pictures of things I'm interested in, like cooking, shoes, art, and more.

I'm still determining what I want to add to the music choice. A lovely, chill song will fit the commercial well. To find the piece, I'm going through my playlist to see which one I feel best fits. I might change the song because I have much to choose from, but I know the vibe I'm going for. To match the commercial, I might add words on the screen or do a voice-over. Since I will have so many pictures, I need to separate them to might or might not use. I love having other people's input, so I will ask my family which pictures they think will best fit the commercial. I want to have at most 15 photos and videos. Once I pick the images, I will plan on what order they will be in.

 After we finished filming the outdoor scenes, we filmed the indoor 0scenes. The majority of these scenes involved only the main character. The first indoor scene was scene four. Scene four was the main character opening the room door and putting the picture in the mirror. For this scene, we used a tracking shot to show her coming in and placing the image on the mirror. This concluded what was supposed to be the first 24 seconds of the song. After this, we filmed scene ten. Scene ten was the main character laying on the bed and then getting up to look out the window. for this scene, we needed it to be dark but not too dark to the point the camera quality changes, or she can't be seen. We used a ring light to add enough light so the scene wouldn't come out too dark, and we closed the blinds so it wouldn't be too bright. Production Blog- Editing

 Hello, today in this blog I will discuss how I finished the editing my music video. As I mentioned in my previous blog, the video from CapCut was very choppy and glitchy. I didn’t want to deal with it so I switched to a different editing platform. I looked on TikTok for good editing platforms for computer. I kept seeing Wondershare Filmora, so that’s what I downloaded. Once it finished downloading I did the same thing I did in CapCut. On the app I added all the clips I timed so I can access it easier. I dragged the song to the video and trimmed it to be 1:15. I drag the vidro clips to match the song. I used the video from CapCut as a reference to how to the video should look. Something I like about the sofeware is that I can preview the video clips on a bigger screen so I didn’t have to constantly drag and delete.This took me a little while to get used to. Production Blog: Filming Part 3

 After the gift opening scene the doorbell ring and the next scene is the friends looking at the camera. I had a perfume box that was decorated, so we put the note in there to put it outside.  Earlier before we stared filming i put the box outside and someone moved it.  I went outside to look for the box and I couldn’t find it. I asked everybody if they moved it and where did they put it. Since nobody couldn’t tell me where the box was I had to check the camera. I’m glad the camera recorded who did it. I had to scroll about an hour back to see Felisha moved it into the bushes so it wouldn’t be seen in the first scene. Once we had the box in place everyone gathered around the google Home Screen and said their lines. Nobody practiced their lines except for Christel so there was a little improvising to save time.
