Production Blog: Music Video

 The day we filmed, we had a lot of hiccups, as I mentioned in my previous blog. The first person to arrive was Leila, and Chatae said she was running late. At this time, we are still waiting to receive a response from my brother's friend. We ate some food, then finally got a call from Avione saying that he had overslept and was getting ready. We waited in my room for chatae and my brother to return from picking his friends up. When Chatae arrived, we talked, and since my brother was taking a while, we decided to start filming the scene that didn't include them. We began filming scene six, which was Chatae and Lelia talking. By the time we finished filming that scene, the boys had arrived.

We did introductions so everyone could familiarize themselves with each other, and then we headed to the park to film the outdoor scenes. We filmed scenes one and two at the park and filmed something extra that Leila suggested, and it adds to the music video. Scene one is the main character taking a picture of her crush while the crush is sitting and talking with his friends. We used a close-up to show her with the camera, then showed the boys talking. We then film the boys talking and zoom into the main character in the background. The extra scene we added was the main character admiring the picture while swinging on the swings. There was a parent with their child on the swing at that moment, so we kindly asked them to use it and that it wouldn't take long. They were kind enough to let us use the swings. We used an over-the-shoulder shot to show the picture, then zoomed out to show her swinging. The last scene we filmed at the park was the main character skipping out of the park. We returned to my house and grabbed something to drink since it was hot and humid. We then filmed the rest of the scenes near my house. The scenes we filmed were scenes three and seven. For scene three, we used a tracking shot to show the main character walking up to the door and closing it behind her. For scene 7, we filmed the boys walking, the girls walking, and the main character pulling the friend when they crossed paths. That was the last outdoor scene we filmed.

 After we finished filming the outdoor scenes, we filmed the indoor 0scenes. The majority of these scenes involved only the main character. The first indoor scene was scene four. Scene four was the main character opening the room door and putting the picture in the mirror. For this scene, we used a tracking shot to show her coming in and placing the image on the mirror. This concluded what was supposed to be the first 24 seconds of the song. After this, we filmed scene ten. Scene ten was the main character laying on the bed and then getting up to look out the window. for this scene, we needed it to be dark but not too dark to the point the camera quality changes, or she can't be seen. We used a ring light to add enough light so the scene wouldn't come out too dark, and we closed the blinds so it wouldn't be too bright. Production Blog: commercial

      I looked through my photo albums to produce my commercial and picked out my pictures. My brother was kind enough to help me look through the images. Since there were so many pictures, we took about 30-40 mins to review them. We picked out about 32 pictures. Most of the photos I picked I found were of me of a baby/toddler. I plan on narrowing down the amount of photos I have. I also reviewed my phone and mom's phones to find more recent pictures and videos. This took a while since she had so many photos and videos. I sent myself the videos and pictures I found on my mom's phone. After I picked the photos, I started looking for a song. My playlist is about 9 hours long, so reviewing it took me a while. I have 180 pieces on my playlist, but I skipped a portion because I know what I want. I picked out nine songs for me to choose from. Production Blog: Filming Part 3

 After the gift opening scene the doorbell ring and the next scene is the friends looking at the camera. I had a perfume box that was decorated, so we put the note in there to put it outside.  Earlier before we stared filming i put the box outside and someone moved it.  I went outside to look for the box and I couldn’t find it. I asked everybody if they moved it and where did they put it. Since nobody couldn’t tell me where the box was I had to check the camera. I’m glad the camera recorded who did it. I had to scroll about an hour back to see Felisha moved it into the bushes so it wouldn’t be seen in the first scene. Once we had the box in place everyone gathered around the google Home Screen and said their lines. Nobody practiced their lines except for Christel so there was a little improvising to save time.
